Root Clockwork mod and ROM porting now available!

Yes it is out but it is still being tested and I wouldn't use it for a while myself.
I see a lot of people on the XDA web site having problems with this ROM.So if your not a power user don't try it unless you don't mind fixing things. They are still working on fixing the sound and video. They have come a long way in a short time that is for sure. Some smart people working on this.I'm not knocking it I'm just saying be careful and read [ROM][HC3.1][17-06-2011][(p6) update] PRIMEE v1.4 port for Iconia A500 + recovery - xda-developers before you
just jump into it.

I tried this on my uk Acer works alright, seems a bit quicker but soon reverted back. If any one try this on a uk machine and is having trouble with it pm I'm happy to help and also can tell you how to restore it back to stock image if needed

I am using it right now and havent had one issue. The problem is people not knowing how to install it, Now a program exsists on the market to flash recovery in one click. And through that same program you can go back to stock in one click. i have done it twice just to test. xda-developers - View Single Post - [Recovery] ClockworkMod Recovery 1.3.2( updated 18.06.2011 ) 2 roms exsist right now and both run much smoother than stock.

I've installed Clockworkmod and am going to flash one of the Roms from XDA. What would I need to do if I had probs and wanted to revert to the stock Acer Rom?

Thanks.
The stock roms are in a link on the xda page just boot into recovery mode using vol down and start and then select the stock from which must be copied to external SD. Dead simple

That's True
Its really interesting reading the post on XDA and following how they get this stuff sorted out. They really work together and get great results. I repair computers and such but what they do is way above my head... It seems a lot of what they do is based from Linux type systems. I never thought of it but I guess Android is based on the Linus system. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.I'm always curious about such things.
