Help Need some help with battery life.

My gf has a Thunderbolt and she has been having problems with the battery life, it usually does not last her an entire day. She has done the standard things like throttle the sync settings, adjust the display, turn off 4G and GPS. I was wondering if there are some other ways to help out battery life? How is the life while rooted and is there any easy root options on the horizon? I just looked at the rooting process for the Thunderbolt and it looks somewhat long. Any suggestions?

i had it and thought it was too big. i also couldnt find any cases for it. just get a car charger and use juice defender.

Root+setcpu to underclock all the way down when the screen is locked, plus using greenpower was the solution for me. I can easily get a full day out of this thing, even on 4g with those changes.

Cases are now available for it. I find the phone more comfortable now because of the bigger battery. imo.

Yeah I guess its all personal preference. It's pretty big though lol
