By the way, mine seems to have a slight oil leak underneath the space bar. Is this something I should be worried about? Should I take it to Verizon and have it serviced? Or maybe Jiffy Lube?

Mine too. I had assumed the pinging was the camera auto focus but after reading a lot its probably thrown a valve overheating from the turbo upgrade (600). The cpu check says its an arm v7. When I first got it, it felt like a V8. <g>

Check your muffler bearings...they are probably shot from all the market downloads.

Yes I have a Solution "per verizon tech support" remove the back cover and take the battery out, As this fixes all Droid problems.
