All these problems most of you are having....

The only issue I've had with my Droid is when I recently installed Companionlink's software that was to sync my "non-exchange" version of Microsoft Outlook 2003's Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes between my PC and my Droid. Due to conflicts caused by having installed the app, I has to uninstall it from my PC and my Droid, then do a Factory Data Reset (which wiped the phone clean) to get my Droid working normally again. Yeah, I just loved having to re-load all my apps, re-do my personalized settings and set up my 4 email accounts again. What a joy that was. In hindsight (which is always 20/20) Google's sync for Contacts, Calendar and Tasks is just fine, but I do miss having my "Notes" like I did on all the WinMo PDA phones I've had over the past 15 years. Hey, you live and learn... Does anyone know of a program or app that will import and allow you to read Outlook Notes on an Android OS phone? Or better yet, is Google going to sync that in the future as well?

I love everything about my Droid. The only issue that I have had on occasion is when I am on the phone with someone and go to hang up, the screen stays black. I am not sure if there is a fix for that. Other than that, everything else that has been an "issue" for me had nothing to do with the phone but certain applications.

Lovin' the Droid!!

People are speculating this is a software issue on the Droid, I'm not sure. I haven't had the problem, but I don't make many calls so maybe it just hasn't happened to me yet. In any event, during voice calls it's like when you move the phone from your ear, the proximity sensor doesn't pick up on the change, so the screen stays off. If you cover the sensor for a second (the first one to the left of the earpiece) with your finger for a second, that should get the screen to wake back up.

Disable voice privacy in call settings.
I saw this in a thread yesterday and disabled privacy on my phone yesterday, now to just talk to my husband (he was the one always complaining about the quality) and ask him if it's better.

This happens to me and i'm almost sure i know what the issue is. If you are talking with someone and you say goodbye and they hit "end call" on their phone first, like immediately, and you pull your ear away and look at the phone, it will be black for that 5-10 second period you were talking about and then it will show the end screen really quick and then go to call log.

If, and this happens to me most of the time, the person on the other line is lazy or just slow in hitting "end call" you can remove from your ear and the screen will wake up immediately and you can press end and it will end call and then go to call log. I haven't tested this out with my wife yet but i'm fairly certain this is what the bug is. Not sure if they can fix that in the software or not.

If someone wanted to test my theory and get back to me that would be cool too :)

Do you have your thumb or finger over the top left corner? There is a sensor there that sences when to turn off/on the display; if you cover it it will stay off.

I had the same issue, until I found this out now I hold the phone different, and now everything is fine.

No huge issues. Though, as many will complaint about, the battery life could be better. Granted, I'm not away from a charger for too long these days, but I'm hoping to get a 2nd job soon, so I'll need better battery (I get about 5+ hrs "screen time" using WiFi, which is better than 3g on the battery...for me?). I don't plan on haveing the WiFi luxury at new/2nd work.

Guess we'll see what/if this OTAU does for battery life, as some sites are reporting.
