i recently downloaded some mp3 ringtones from myxer.com a few of them werent what i thought they were, so i want to delete them but i cant figure out how! i tried using both astro and aplayer to get into my system and sd folders but i cant find these goddamn files anywhere.
under system/media/ringtones it only shows the ringtones that came with the phone. i tried everything( or so i thought, but im new to this!) any help would be appreciated!! thank you!!!!!!!!!!

and astro either always force closes or 'stops unexpectedly'

I have never had these problems with ASTRO ....

Power off the phone,
Take the SDcard out of the phone,
Use a card reader and you PC to Look through the all the files on the SDcard...
If you dont find them here. then the ringtones are stored in a folder on the phone ... probably under /system/media/audio/ringtones (are ringtones that came on the phone and can not be deleted without root access.

normally for created ringtones, or downloaded ones they will be stored on
the SDCard in directory /sdcard/media/audio/ringtones
They can not be deleted with astro ... but can if in a dedicated card reader ... also should be deleted if you connect the phone via USB and then mount the SDCard ... then via the computer you should be able to delete the ringtones you want to ...

hrmm theres no downloads folder on the sd card

try this...download astro
download wallr (a wallpaper rotation tool, very cool)
visit g1wallz.com on the g1
find a wallpaper you like
click into the wallpaper from the thumbnail and get a bigger version.
long press on the image, it will offer the option to save the image
save it.

go into astro
navigate to /sdcard
note that my folders in /sdcard don't appear exactly in alphabetical order
I have a folder called /download
All apps and imgs I have downloaded are located there.

Do you at least see that?
