1800mAH batteries on eBay?

Has anyone tried one of these? Did it make a noticeable difference being 1800mAH vs the stock 1650mAH?

I'd never buy flash memory (again) from eBay but I've had very positive experiences of buying batteries for phones and cameras. I have bought three replacement phone batteries, all of which worked well and were extremely cheap. I also bought two spare batteries for my Canon EOS40D a couple of years ago and they were a fifth of the price of the genuine article but are still just as good as the battery the camera came with.

The actual rating is usually allot lower, oftern you can peal off the cover and find the real value, they can be as low as 800 mAH so be careful.

I know for the price you might think why not but if it was for real it would cost allot more than

The batteries I bought for my camera are every bit as good as the one supplied with my camera even after two years and were way cheaper.

Also, I think 1650mAH to 1800mAH is perfectly plausible. The first rechargeable AA batteries I bought were 1300mAH whereas the most recent were 2300mAH. These were all reputable brands bought in physical shops in the UK and clearly are the same size.

If you're concerned about price/quality then there is a Mugen brand 1800mAh unit which might be good. It's expensive, though.

It's OK I've got insurance and backups . That's not to say that I won't be somewhat disappointed if my phone bursts into flames taking my house and all my possessions with it, but I rather think that is unlikely.

I have ordered one so I'll now wait three weeks for the think to cross the planet and I'll report back.

But battery chemistry has physical limits as far as capacity and size. The battery might be cheaper but would not have more power.

I bought two battery's for my Galaxy S a while ago. They didnt have stickers over the real sticker and look like factory battery's/ The one that came with my phone is a G9 and these were G7 and had teh same 1500 rating but they didnt quite last as long as the original. So thought they werent bad, they didnt improve either but then, they werent rated a higher capacity battery.
So for $3.27 ea...i dont feel i lost anything and have a couple spares.

i'm getting a new galaxy s2 in a couple of days and have also been looking at these 1800mAh batteries on ebay just to scope out what my options are in the event of a dud battery. Any opinion on how well the 1800mAh batteries work after using it for a while lotus49?

As I mentioned (I'm the OP) I did buy one. It arrived a few days after my post above and I'd say that it does not last longer than the genuine Samsung battery but nor does it last a much shorter time either.

I'd say that it's about 90% of the genuine one and since it only cost

My first phone was a Motorola Startac 7200. The physical size of the battery was a lot larger than on my SGS2 but it had 12h standby and 1h calltime. I guess that various batteries of equal size can have various mAh and a smaller battery can be better than a big battery.
