Help notificatoin bar

hey guys i just picked up this phone yesterday and rooted it already and have no major issues with it except that when i go to pull down the notification bar it lags for 3 seconds before it will come down. . i also noticed when i go to answer a call the bar you slide right to answer the call lags for a couple of seconds. was wondering if anyone else has these problems and if so is there a solution i'm missing. thanks in advance

nevermind lol i had tried restarting it to no avail but i took the battery out for a while and it seemed to solve the problem

Yup. Battery pulls do help a lot of times in android. Sadly.
But is yours a new phone? If it is, it shouldn't be doing that...
And if it isn't, who knows what the previous owner might have done! I suggest a full factory reset and data wipe through turn off the phone and restart holding the power button and the R button at the same time....

yep, the status bar lags alot after rooting it.... Mine sometimes just barely drags down, or itll drag down half way or just not drag down at all.... Might be the root.... I also noticed it takes longer for it to check the sd card after the phone was rooted...

That's not rooting.
That's most likely some app/setting on your phone acting funky.
Rooting a phone does not change it per se. It only enables you to do things you couldn't before.
It's like getting the key to access the basement in your house. It'd be silly to blame the key if your house suddenly starts crumbling down on you! More than likely, it'd be crumbling because you've been messing with the foundation! (unless the house is just that old or poorly built...)

To help out with the SD card, you can try SD Speed Boost, it's a free app in the Market that should help you. Of course, your sd cards' class is also a factor, but I find a setting of 1792 to be somewhat satisfying regardless of class number.
As for the notification area thing, I have no idea what is going on.
I have had my indulge for quite a while now, and I can say the notification area's behavior has not changed pre/post root, once again hinting at the fact that it might be some funky app on your phone being a little too messy...

yes it's a brand new phone less than 3 days lol but it hasn't lagged anymore since i did the battery pull so no worries. .

if it happens again go into task manager and see if something is running and hogging the resources.

I have the same issue. Haven't figured what's causing it yet. Sometimes when I slide to answer it will stick and eventually ask to FC the dialer. Normally I could see something like this happen AFTER I toy with something but my wife had the same problem while it was stock.

Are you using the stock launcher? I was having the same problem and still do every now and then but only while using Go Launcher Ex, a power off/on usually fixes it.

i use launcher pro but when it was sticking i switched over to the stock and it was still lagging so that wasn't the problem so who knows but it's been a couple of days and it hasn't happened again
