since the thread isnt for talk which it shouldnt be! i would like to ask all the vets and newbies out there what you guys would like to see in there to help out make it eaiser for people maybe to have a one stop shop style

I would like to have this up here for so long and get everyones opion and get what i need off it and then really it could be delete to keep clutter out of the forum

I don't wanna sound mean or anything, but, we have an easy to read/understand newbie guide already that people don't seem to see when they come in to ask questions that are answered in said newbie guide.

So in my opinion another newbie guide would just clutter up the board. But as I said, this is just my opinion and meens nothing in the grand scheme of things.

it's possible the OP is talking about making a new newbie guide to replace the current.

He's just planning to edit the original as I see it. He's not planning on creating a whole new one. He's asking what we think should be in there when he edits it.

that is what i am aiming for is to edit and make it where it has more info so that it is more helpfull. I created it to get a starting point or informational point for newbiews and now that its been up for awhile and we still see questions asked by newbies, i would like to update it to make it better to make it a better one. We will never be able to make it a guide so newbies wont ask question, but if i can or we can make it so they have as much info in a one stop shop it be helpful so then they have a greally great base point and foundation to start of or their questions will be more direct ones then open ones.

links to all the downloads available to get where the new members are wanting to go would be nice.
Also, as a service, links to the instructions pages for all these items would be sweet.

could i get examples in what your talking about cause when i think about what your talking about there is alot. are we talking like adding maderstock sbf, sdk files, drivers? just to get alittle more info on what you mean. Also thank you for the suggestion

you could include:
going from FroYo to GB, step-by-step
Going from stock (OTA) GB to FroYo to rooted GB
Going from a custom ROM to either GB or FroYo
including the steps needed and the files available (unless they are paid apps) so the job can be done smoothly.
what to do if you bootloop
how to get into bootloader (FroYo and GB versions)
alternative methods (linux live CD or USB drive)
there might be more, but I can't think right now
