With my Blackberry if I needed to re-install/change phones, I just backed everything up, and if you got the same/similar phone, after restoring literally everything is the same, you don't need to change any settings.
With Android backup programs I saw different ones backed up different things, but I am wondering if there is any backup where it would leave me without having to re-set my phone up.
I need to do a hard reset because my Gtalk isn't working well, but I spent so long customizing, I REALLY don't want to re-do everything, especially since everything I've done has been recent. I also think it's a lot of work to re-install everything and re-do all my settings, whereas if I just could restore my phone to the state it is in right now, the reset wouldn't be bad at all.
I'm pretty surprised that Blackberry actually has such a better backup feature than the Android, one of the bonuses of smartphones to me was that you could back everything up and restore it without any work at all.
