i always wipe,

but i have been running great today. i have been using tegrak overclock and even without overclocking, just setting it to on, it would screw up.

i havent loaded anything from tegrak today and it is running flawless so far today.

anyone got a better overclocking method? i want more more more!

all in all, gb serendiptity is faster than 6.4 with a oc of 1.3. 1750 quad score to a 2100 quadscore. im guessing around a 2400quad with a oc.

Finally found a few other references to problems with ogg on GB roms. It seems there is a bigger problem with ogg and some other audio formats on GB. There is an XDA thread here. Poweramp or any other player that uses it's own decoder library should work fine. It makes me sad - I love Cubed, but it uses the native decoders.

Did you try to reflash the ROM? If it's that important (hopefully you've got a good backup) you should do it - sounds like a bad flash. You could try just a modem flash, but I'm betting you need the whole thing.

No, you don't have to go back to 1. I saw your post over on XDA, it's speed dial that's causing your issues - I still think reflashing will fix your problem.

Yeah I reflashed same issue. It's not the same as Serendipity 6.4 where you just tap it once and it goes to voicemail you actually have to hold the button down to access it. "On the dialer" btw.

Download it from the third post of the ROM thread over on XDA and flash it in CMW. Change the dial tone - have no idea.

I use this Rom but want to replace the boot image. I downloaded Mobiletechvideo_BootReplacer and follow all the instruction when when it boot up, the new image there for couple second then go right back to Serendipity VII . Is this correct?

I flashed it yesterday and LOVE IT so far. I did have the wifi wonkiness but the kernel upgrade to 4.1 fixed it. The only issue I'm having is that the Netflix app says it is not compatible with my phone. I have seen others note that they got it installed with no problem - has this happened to anyone else? I'd really love to get that app going. I did a bunch of searches but found no answers.

I had cognition 4 but wanted to try serendipity 7. When I used CWM to install the zip it said installed but nothing happened. So I hit reboot phone but it kept looping on att screen. Now I cannot get back into recovery mode by holding both volume buttons. Did I brick it?

If you've successfully flashed the Gingerbread bootloaders, the button combo for Recovery is Up volume and Power. Down volume and Power will bring you into Download mode.

This happens when you try to get into recovery via the Up volume method, also? Try getting into Download mode again, does that work?

That happens regardless of what button I press. None of the combinations have any effect. Is it bricked.

From what I understand as long as you can get something out of it, it is not bricked. So, do you have access to a jig? That might help. Otherwise I suggest you go over to this support thread on XDA, use the Search This Thread function, and enter the term 'bricked', perhaps something there can help you. I had no problem with the installation, never have 'bricked', although I've had a few close calls with that yellow phone icon thingy - or hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will come along and help you here.

I flash and redo several times with wipe out sd-card etc.. still can't get speed dial back and voice mail when dial #1. Kept getting loading something then close. Does any one know the fix for this?

I rooted for the first time and installed Serendipity VII last night and so far I love it! I cant believe i waited so long. I did notice that the battery was quite low this morning after charging all night as other have reported, so i will watch that...other than that i have two bigger issues...

Firstly, after using TiBu to reload only data into the Samsung Email app (i use it for work), i get a force close every time i try to open it. Any help with that would be appreciated.

Also, can someone point me to in the right direction so that I may reinstall Swype Beta...this link makes me wonder...I dont know if I can live without Swype...

i had missed the step 3 on a few others i had seen. I used windows explorer to delete the necessary files.

Still need help on the email issue if anyone has any to offer
