Root Serendipity 7 bricked, need help fast

I had cognition 4 but wanted to try serendipity 7. When I used CWM to install the zip it said installed but nothing happened. So I hit reboot phone but it kept looping on att screen. Now I cannot get back into recovery mode by holding both volume buttons. My phone constantly loops the att screen. The white att screen pops up, stays for three seconds, the screen gets slightly brighter, then the top half of the screen disappears, then it loops again. Did I brick it?

well...if you flashed directly from C4 to S7, then yeah you prolly bricked it. because C4 is a 2.2 ROM, and S7 is a 2.3 ROM...you have to flash the new gingerbread Bootloaders to install a gingerbread rom. you cant just flash straight from CWM. looks like youll have to get into download mode and flash back to stock with Odin.

well...if you flashed directly from C4 to S7, then yeah you prolly bricked it. because C4 is a 2.2 ROM, and S7 is a 2.3 ROM...you have to flash the new gingerbread Bootloaders to install a gingerbread rom. you cant just flash straight from CWM. looks like youll have to get into download mode and flash back to stock with Odin.

How am I supposed to get into download mode?

power off the phone, hold the volume down button, and turn it back on. should show the Digger and "downloading...." screen

Ah, I think this was missed in the other thread you were posting about this on - you didn't install the Gingerbread bootloaders first. I know this is after the horse has left the barn, but always read and follow the installation instructions, they're right on the Serendipity VII download page.

oh boy..here follow this tutorial to flash Gingerbread Bootloaders.
Then flash S7..
