Im just wondering if anyone knows of a decent app for taking pictures as i could do with a flash instead of constantly having to turn the light on & then try and get a decent pic even though it never works & always comes out to dark still.:thinking:

I'm afraid we're stuck with what I can only call an "outside day-time" camera. A poor show by Sony. I've tried other apps, that offer a flash, like Vignette, but the light is weak and no good at all in poor light. I take most of my photos on evenings out, and 95% come out rubbish - I've given up with the camera on this phone. Taking pics on a good friday night out, or at a concert for example is a load of cr@p on this phone. The camera on my ancient K800i puts it to shame; and so I still use this for pics instead!!

Sorry for no good news... :(

Camera 360 is good....I use it the most. Mess with different camera settings and options.

Default camera app is ok. (make sure when using either app, you crank up the quality and turn off any photo compression)

For a flash, download the xperia flashlight and/or widget.

If you want to improve the flash so it doesn't over expose, you might need to add a piece of tissue paper over the flash.

Thanks for the help I will give them ago & see what happens, It's the only thing i have been disappointed about with the phone. It's a shame it doesn't have the camera from the Satio on it as that's all that phone had going for it they should of combined them both. I'll let you know if i find anything decent that's worth a try aswell.

Big thing to do is making sure settings are right. Make sure it is set to 8.0 megapixel and make sure photo compression is set to 0.

Camera 360 is much better than the default.

Vignette is also kinda cool.

And lighting is everything. I have taken some great pictures with the camera....I have taken bad one's too...and it is all about knowing your phone's limits, strengths and weaknesses.
