Why does google bicycling direction work on my computer but not on my phone?

When I use my computer I can always find bicycling direction between any two points. When I try maps on my android it says it can't find a route sometimes, especially when I try to find a route several hundred miles long. When I try to send directions from my computer to my phone it opens them as driving directions. I can save bicycling directions to "My Places" in google maps on my laptop but when I try to open them in my phone it says there are errors. So long story short. How can I get bicycling directions everytime.

IIRC you should be able to switch the type of directions on the device.

Is your phone up to date and are your apps up to date.

Secondly, when you look at the upper left corner of the directions you should touch it a pull down menu will pop up and you can choose driving, transit, walking or bicycling.

When you go to maps,go to the top right hand corner and tap on the layer symbol. It is right next to the compass symbol. You will find bicycling directions there.

On the EVO it's on the left hand side. Seems like we both answered for our devices. LOL
