Help Touch screen not responding well?

I will try to tap a T on the phone and it gives me an R or Y on the Swype keyboard or the standard, same thing with tapping an G it gives me and F or J. Also on occassion when trying to open something the phone will act crazy and open up text message or any other app and just start inserting typed characters on its own. I have tried calibrating it using the language/keyboard, used a different keyboard input. Is it possible that I got a bad 3VO? I bought two and my wife's works excellent.

Did you try to re-calibrate your keyboard? Go to settings - language & keyboard

And that is the conclusion I have come to.... my next question would be is do I return it to Radio Shack or do I call HTC to have this unit replaced or do I take it to the Sprint Authorized Repair store?

I'd maybe try resetting it first and see if that clears it up. Any where you take it to is going to try resetting it anyways to make sure it is a legitimate issue that can't be fixed. Desperate time call for desperate measures. Might as well try a full reset out and maybe save yourself a un-needed trip.

Since it is within 30 days and falls within a store's return policy, take it back to where it was originally purchased.
