Help How do you remove pre-installed apps?

Hey guys,
A noob to the Android phone and I'm curious how i can remove some of the apps that came with the phone. I have followed the instructions to remove apps i have installed, but not all the other apps have the same uninstall feature.

Any guidance would be appreciated!

Pre installed apps have to be edited out or frozen in the phones software. Editing is not easy but can be done once we can root the phone. Wait a little and some one will create a nice new custom firmware. Some people do not like to remove the apps, They would rather freeze them in case an OTA update becomes available. If you edit out the apps you can no longer receive the OTA updates. If you freeze the apps, you can unfreeze them when an update is released then freeze them back latter. But some custom firmware are worth using over the standard firmwares.

The above is correct, but just to be clear, the phone CANNOT be rooted at this time, and even then custom roms cannot be flashed as the bootloader and recovery are both locked and encrypted. The system is locked down tight until a dev or htc unlock it.

Is freeze the same as force stop?
