Hello all,
I have a strange situation, don't even know what to call it, so here's what I did.
In the default "People" app, I started typing on the keyboard, assuming it would search automatically only to find that it doesn't, but now I'm left with the following image on the screen each time I open that app again and I have no idea how to get rid of it.

Have you turned the device off and on or done a batter pull? Have you tried to cleared the cache

Looks a lot like my HTC Inspire. I haven't used the stock contacts app in ages, I find it annoying. You could try a third party app, like go contacts or dialer one.
