Does anyone know? It looks like it does but I'm not sure.
id like to think its safe to assume that yes, it will be included. as mentioned, all recent motorolas have had them. i owned the droid 1, droid 2 and droid x, all in which had the notification LED
The lack of an indicator LED is one reason I didn't upgrade to the Nexus S (the lack of integration with Sprint Visual Voicemail being the other). Ended up with an Evo Shift for now.
I guess it hasn't been a big issue for me, just because I'm always checking my phone for any messages, especially when I step away from it for a period of time.
Nontheless, the Photon will have it, which is definitely better than not having it.
When I get a text (pop up) and the screen turns off before I dismiss it, the led just to the right of the lens of the front camera illuminates with the specified color at the specified frequency (default keeps the led on). I get nothing when the screen is on.
This is a possibility, or maybe some other app is interfering with your notifications? Have you turned off notifications in the stock app?
Ive never seen it light up during charging, was the phone originally turned off when you noticed this?
Ive grown to like this feature as it allows the notification light to work as it otherwise would, for texts and emails, etc.
Hmm. You make a good point, maybe the phone was off when I initially charged it. Ill turn it off just to test, but I think you're right.
