Root [ROM] ApeX 2.0 RC2 Feedback ONLY!!

What do you like so far?
The fact that its apex is good for me :) all the aosp apps, the speed and reliability of the rom

What do you want to see?
the toolbox to come back

Anything that you don't like?
the fact there is no toolbox :p
Any bugs?
when in dialer, and your trying to enter selections (ie calling century link to get my internet fixed) and i enter in my number and it doesnt accept it, or trying to call verizon and when im trying to enter in credit card info or ssn it repeats the numbers, and the numbers i hit arent the numbers that are registering

This is my first experience with switching to a new ROM. The flashing process was a wreck - it stuck on the flashing APEX boot animation for about 15 minutes. I pulled the battery/booted again several times, each time getting stuck on the boot animation. Eventually I gave up and tried to flash back to GB, and in the process of wiping the cache and factory resetting, I walked away while it booted, and...voila! Apex came up. Go figure.

Now that I've got it running, here are my observations...

Likes
- seems a bit faster and more responsive than GB
- many theme options
- no bloat
- battery indicator on the notification bar

Dislikes/Bugs
- long press seems to be disabled (though this appears to be a problem only with Go Launcher...the default, ADW, and Zeam all work fine)
- no vibrate-only ringer setting (fixed w/ a third party app)
- no Gapps (I know some consider this a plus; since I use several of them quite a lot, this was a minor inconvenience though easily fixed)
- battery indicator only shows increments of 10% (I've been spoiled by Circle Battery Widget, which shows increments of 1%)

Jury's still out on battery life. Other than the install process itself, I really like this ROM and plan to use it for a while.

Nice work, Fab! Thanks!

What do you like so far? the speed and lack of it using up all my ram and resources. its apex loved the rom since froyo.

What do you want to see? toolbox, i like the blur dialer as where i start to type the name of who i am calling and the number pops up ( could do like a flash zip for people like me)

Anything that you don't like? battery life after a week or so didnt seem to be like ota GB, only got to about a day of use or little less where with OTA GB i got all day plus

Any bugs? none that i came across but didnt think were that bad to remember lol

What do you like so far?
Google experience without all the Blur crap. SPEED!! Battery life. Skins thank GOD, I was so sick of the GB skin. Multi-touch keyboard is great.

What do you want to see?
Toolbox. New skin on camera. I personally preferred the blur functionality for the camera including zoom on the volume keys.

Anything that you don't like?
10% battery increments. Camera look, and volume buttons do not control zoom.

Any bugs?
Hooking up to any Bluetooth device is very temperamental. Android Market does funny things sometimes. i.e. Start a download, see that it has finished in my notification bar, go to market and it still hasn't downloaded. Nothing huge.

Any feedback please!! :D
The ROM is great. Above comments should be taken as constructive criticism only. Apex 2.0 is the fastest ROM I have run. I have full functionality besides Bluetooth, but I'm sure that will be ironed out before the full release. My battery life has been great. I can go about 30 hours on one charge, and I am a heavy user; Games, texting, web, camera. I use it all day and it has just been phenomenal. Thank you to all the people who have put so much hard work into bringing this ROM to us users.

What do you like so far?
Speed, no bloat, pure Google experience

What do you want to see?
toolbox

Anything that you don't like?
Missing the blur Email client. Still trying to work that out. AOSP Email client isn't making me happy so far.

Any bugs?
Gmail unread count doesn't work in LauncherPro, which worked fine in rooted GB

Kind of contradictory there......you like the "pure Google experience", yet you want the Blur Email app

Yep - sorry. AOSP Email doesn't allow formatting, doesn't go back to to the inbox after reading or deleting a message, keeps the notification icon up even after I've read all my messages, etc. I just don't like it. Blur Email is better. And K-9 doesn't work for me for corporate email, so that's not an option.

It's cool, no need to apologize. I was just curious what it was about the blur app that you liked, but I was in a hurry and didn't make my post clear enough :D

I am not sure if its a GB or APEX thing but there is no speed dialer.
I have been getting a few force close windows to Launcher... rarely got one before RC2. Not complaining about it because I think its me messing around with overclocking and trying to do too much.

I would like to see more themes possibly ones where the base colors can be changed with out installing a new theme... kind of like a preference option (not sure if its possible)

All in all I like the new Apex very much so :D

AOSP Dialer doesn't have speed dial.

Try a different launcher like Go Launcher or Adw.

Speaking of Go Launcher...has anyone else seen problems using long-presses with Go Launcher on Apex? I get the little vibrate after a long-press, but then nothing happens after that - can't move apps on home screens, can't delete, can't change icons, can't do anything that requires a long-press. ADW and Zeam appear to work just fine, so it's something particular to Go (which was my launcher of choice on GB, so it kinda sucks to not have it with Apex). Am I alone on this one? Any ideas on what the problem is or how to fix it?

Someone else mentioned this before, I can't remember who it was right now, but anyway, I didn't have any issues with that when I was on ApeX.

Gotta say I'm loving this Rom. I am amazed at the speed of everything
I'm still new to this so I can't say what I'd like to see added.
No bugs to report.
Only thing that disappoints me is probably my fault. It seems I've lost a lot of my Contacts. I thought I synched them thru Gmail but don't know for sure. Can't find out how to resolve without BackupAsistant??

1. Looked great and ran very quickly. No bloat, no blur.
2. A complete version (not a perfect version but perhaps just more bugs worked out/stable)
3. and 4. are connected, since what I didn't like was bug related. It was very unstable, had to battery pull and power off many times right after install. While in the middle of installing apps, it would just freeze. While using the phone in menus it would just freeze. Took multiple attempts to install bootstrapper just to restore back to stock because it kept freezing. It's wierd because I installed it without a hitch, and it was very fast when it was working.
