Root Any easier way to root?

I already rooted my Tbolt and was running Bamf from the beginning up to 1.8. Last week my phone started acting weird and when I went in my music, gallery, or media app it said nothing found. I had plenty of pictures and music on my phone that previously showed up. I went into the sd card though file manager and all files were still there. Thinking my phone had shit the bed, I used jcase's directions to unroot so I could take the phone back. Once at verizon they tested my phone formatted my card and told me it wasn't the phone but was an sdcard problem. So now I gotta wait 2 weeks for sandisk to send me a replacement. I really hate the stock setup and would like to reroot. I used the manual method previously and was wondering if there was an easier method yet?

in a word,no. there are a couple of easy/one click roots in the sticky that you can feel free to use if you want, but i dont personally reccomend them. they are based on the manual root, just automating the cutting and pasting, and (theoretically) setting adb up for you.

i have seen a couple instances now where they process failed, and didnt perform all the steps, leaving the rooter on buggy downgrade software and/or with an s-on bootloader

i used the "easy root" method and it was not so easy,IMO. getting ADB set up and seeing your phone is honestly the hardest part, the rest is just restarting and moving files to your phone at the right times, and cutting/pasting code into the command window.

if you have adb allready set up and rooted manually the first time, and thus have a good understanding of how its done,id highly reccomend just doing it that way again :)

That was a pretty hasty decision..

I keep an app called SDrescan handy. If something isn't showing up, pictures, video, whatever, SDrescan finds it. Great app, very small. Did they test the card? or just jump to the conclusion that was the problem?

The manual method is the safest, and the version you should stick with.

What scotty said.. 1min.. ;)

Thanks that's what I figured. Sdrescan did not solve my problem I did try it before unrooting. However I forgot to mention to them about my headphones jack being messed up. So gonna go back tomorrow and bitch about that and the SD wait time, hopefully they just give me a new phone.

If you get them to give you a new phone, let me know what you said to make it happen.

I'm waiting on my refurb right now. Which should have been here today, but the guy at the VZW store forgot to enter the condo unit in the address so FedEx can't deliver till tomorrow.

If it's not perfect, I'm going straight to the store to try for a NIB one.
