Facebook for HTC Sense - is the data expendable?

I'm starting to run low on internal storage and the biggest user on my phone is FB for Sense at about 14mb. I'm guessing this is the cache for things like photos I've viewed as whenever I view pics or albums it seems to go up a little more.

When i go to clear data in manage apps it says that it'll clear all the app's data including files, settings, accounts etc.

I'd like to free up the space if possible but if it means having to re-link all my contacts etc I'll think twice about it - would it really basically clear sense from my phone?

Thanks

I've done it for both FB for Sense and the Facebook app. Was a bit worried that everything would disappear - but it was fine. The only thing is that if you fire up the Facebook app again, you need to log back in, but that’s it.

It will fill back up again though. You might want to look at Friendcaster. It is an alternative Facebook app - free from the market, which seems to gobble up less internal space. It has better features than the 'official' one. I'm using it now - and also uninstalled the updates on the official app which also frees up a bit more precious space.

Friendcaster.

I can +1 Friendcaster, but with a word of caution - it doesn't capture every status update (I'd say it gets about 60% of them). But it's still much better than the Facebook App in every other way apart from that - better notifications, better and more stable "check-in" feature, better photo uploads, etc etc.

If it did capture every update I'd buy the pro version today.

I downloaded Friendscaster last week and after a couple of days of it running OK I just started receiving constant error messages. Almost every action created an error. I looked on the homepage forum and it is a common issue. It's a shame because it is a great app - but just didn't work well for me.

Wouldn't worry too much about this. I get them sometimes but they wont effect the running of the app. I'm sure they'll sort them in the next update or whatever - certainly shouldn't put you off getting the app.

Facebook for HTC Sense is essentially Friendstream. I deleted it, I was a bit worried that it would remove all the Facebook pictures from my contacts, but it doesn't, it just clears your Friendstream history.
