Goodbye HTC Hero :(

I am moving onto the HTC Droid Incredible 2 since Sprint was giving me problems when I wanted to buy the HTC Evo 3D which is a shame :( but it's time to move on....

What kind of problems was Sprint giving you? Were they giving you trouble about your upgrade?

I still have yet to call them up to get my upgrade back. Hopefully it will go smoothly for my line and my wife's line because I want to upgrade both of our handsets together.

They just would not let me get it, you would think that since it's their new flagship phone it would be breeze but nope. they tried saying that I never had their data package and blah blah blah when I did the whole time and I even agreed with the addition $10 for 4g :(

Dude, if you're gonna jump ship to Verizon, at least get the Thunderbolt or X2. The Incredible 2 isn't all that great imo.

I'm not near any 4g and its a major battery sucker and I'm not into the x2 even though it had decent specs with a 1ghz dual core processor but the Incredible 2 has the same internals as the Thunderbolt except it isn't 4g and I heard battery life is phenomenal on it. My dad has the original incredible and I liked it a lot and either way it's a big upgrade from the Hero even though my Hero is on 2.3.

Call Account Services they will not want to loose you business

I did and they even gave me MORE problems and when I threatened to cancel my account they blatantly said OK. I even asked for higher ups and they just kept giving me BS excuses and what not. I told them I am willing to shell out money for their best device and extend my contract but nope. You'd think being with them for 11 years would have some sort of effect. I am going to keep my Hero just in case I do decide to go back because I do love their phone line up but they always give me problems when I want a new phone.

That is a shame. It must have been an incompatible plan or something.

Usually they are pretty easy going. I am especially surprised given your eleven year tenure with Sprint.

All I had to do was pay the addition $10 for the 4g and even if it was incompatable, I would have happily changed plans and extend my contract but I'm suprised as well that being with them for 11 years and wanting their flagship phone they would give me a hard time. they are usually easy going but it's when I want/need a new phone, that's when the problems arise

Wow that is amazing, I have never had an issue convincing them of doing stuff, there must be a reason why they are not willing to budge, what plan were you on ??

I had their $99.99 unlimited data plan and they tried saying that I was never on their plan so I asked what have I been paying for and they couldn't come up with a reason. I even said Ef it, just put me on any plan that would allow me to have the Evo 3D. Idk why they were giving me a hard time and I called 3 different times and got 3 different answers lol

Now I know I mentioned this, but you sure you talked to Account Services and not customer Service, there is a huge difference, I would try again for the heck of it, I would also send Dan an email and explain briefly the amount of time you have been with them and what has happened, he will have someone from his office contact you, Dan@sprint.com Worth a shot.

It would be pretty cool to get in contact with him but unfortunately its too late. I do plan on coming back to sprint because they do have a great line up but I'll just let this cool down for now. how's the new evo and battery life? I've heard its really good for a 4g phone

Oh well, I ended up getting the original droid incredible since it was free and rooted it within the 15 minutes of me having it lol. I now have sense 3.0 on it and man is she fast lol I only wished it had a Front Facing camera but I'm getting another phone this winter so this will hold out and the camera is ahhhhmazing lol but I'll be browsing these forums still since I gave my mom my rooted hero.
