Help Txt Messanging Problems????

I have 2 problems

1.) When I'm writing a new text message, the window scrolls all the way up to the top of the conversation and i have to scroll all the way to the bottom to continue typing. Happen to anyone else? And anyone know how to fix?


2.) As i was deleting all the messages from one conversation of a friend, he sent me another one right as they were being deleted, now i keep getting this 1 New Message notification of the text he sent and when i touch it to take me to the message it freezes cause its not there and this happens everytime i get a new message, realllly annoying, any ideas?

I've seen that problem when developing and using certain apps, but have not found the cause. What text messaging application are you using? I'd be surprised if youre seeing those with the default application.

1) never had that problem, are you using the stock messaging app?

2) download sms cleaner from the market and have it delete all unread messages.

2) Try clearing the messages cache.
menu > settings > applications > manage applications > all > messages > clear cache.
If you use the stock widget, clear the cache on Messages Widget.
If you're using a messaging app other than the stock one, clear it's cache also.

Don't know if it will solve the problem, but it can't hurt anything.

I've been having something similar happen with my default messaging app as well, though I can type fine. I just can not move the cursor or delete until I have closed the keyboard and scrolled back down. So far I haven't been able to fix it, but I'll make sure to post here if I find anything.
