It's $79 from Metro, here you go: Buy Huawei M835 Android Cell Phone from MetroPCS.
appears to be a lil better phone but the ascend is still on the metro site with nothing saying its discontinued.
maybe just better camera hardware in general lol.i believe its the Tap Out Edition, how is the camera better if it has the same mega pixel as the Ascend? 3.2
i was using it early today and its seems faster than ascend on the scrolling
The M835 is also the EIDOS, a T-mobile triband phone. It has a 600mhz processor and 149mb of total ram. It has a 2.8" screen. So while it has the same processor, and ram as the Ascend it also has a much smaller screen, its still not 4g, and it really sucks...
Like the ascend though it is a great Android Intro Phone for people. I just figured when Metro rolled something out, that it would be something of quality..maybe even something with a Flash on the camera..It pains me that they are still using this cheap crap and expecting people to just fall head over heels for it.
Seems the only way to get a quality phone is to buy one and get it flashed to Boost or Metro.
and you know whats really sad, the indulge is the best phone they have, and there is still no flash....
I would go with the Evo shift over the Droid 2. Even though it has an 800mhz processor, it's a 2nd generation Snapdragon which is as fast or faster than the original Evo but has much better battery life. Check out some Youtube reviews. It's a nice phone.Yeah..but look at the boostmobile Galaxy Prevail...great specs..800mhz processor plenty of ram, but still not a flash on the camera..then you take that cheap Motorola i1 and its slow as hell, and has a 5mp camera with Flash...lol..
I talked to a guy in my area today that has a store that he flashes phones for boost and metro with everything working even 4g if the phone is 4g capable. His pricing is the following
Droid2 225.00 Fully flashed to Boost or Metro
DroidX 250.00 Fully flashed to either carrier
Evo 4g 280-300 again fully flashed
Evo Shift 225 fully flashed
The list goes on and on, as he said he can flash any VZ or Sprint phone to metro or boost..he even gets the ESNs added if they are not in the system..However as he said so far the Iphone he has only been able to get Talk and basic text working..so if you want MMS or Data you have to go through WIFI..
Although i am not a huge fan of the whole sliding keyboard thing...I am actually considering a Droid2 simply for the processing, and memory power..The specs are sweet, and a great camera with flash.. Even though its not 4g, but i rarely use data except for MMS, if i use data at all i am on WIFI, and its got a decent 3.7" screen...Not the full 4+ of Evo or Droid X..but for 1ghz speed, and 8gb of memory i can't not pass it up.

+ Droid 2 has an encrypted bootloader
have you check out EVO 3D, that phone kicks butt...
I like the Sensation better. It looks nicer, and 3d is a gimmick imo. (plus that giant camera is fugly) I just wish HTC wouldn't bloat all their phones up with that Sense crap because they do make the nicest hardware.have you check out EVO 3D, that phone kicks butt...
my store told me the same thing, so i got the m835 , fist android phone. I dont think its a bad phone for the price .well i went to my local ascend store they said they stop selling them because this is the new replacement for it at the stores
