Pros & Cons of Android/iOS

I know this probably comes up alot, but a friend of mine were having this conversation about the pros and cons of each.

I have the Evo 4G and he's got the G2 then switched to the iPhone 3G then back to his G2 cause the iPhone broke it's volume and power buttons.

I asked him if he could have ANY Android phone he wanted or any iOS device he wanted, which would he choose and he said my Evo and the conversation built from there.

Basically our pros and cons were along the lines of more customizable (Android), more than one or two devices (Android-both pro and con), and a few others.

What are some that you personally have seen/experienced/heard/etc.?

I had the iPod Touch 2nd Gen as my only iDevice ever and never got iOS 4 or played with it.

Honestly, there is NOTHIN' for me at the whole Apple-camp. They're overpriced, they have old hardware(no, the 1ghz isn't the whole truth, the arcitechture is pretty weak...), iOS vs. Android... Android, duh!

Well, the only thing in iP4 is that there're SOME better games, but usually all the good games & apps are ported for Android.

And ofc Android is an open source project!

you're lucky. I had the 2nd gen as well, and I delayed getting iOS 4 because I wads worried Apple might screw things up like they did with iOS3. then I got an android phone, and my iTouch became nothing but a music player. so I figured whats the risk?

so I update, and find out that pretty much nothing was screwed up, EXCEPT FOR THE MUSIC PLAYER! almost every song in the song list had its selection icon shrunken down by about half the size it was before, as well as a much smaller font size, making it far more difficult to see, and touch, as the icons wer smaller than my average fingers. and there was no option to resize icons or font (actually, you could resize the font, but that feature was locked for 2nd gen users, only available on the 3rd gen devices or later, adding money grubbing to injury.) it made using the device so awful, I didn't even care when it was stolen.
