Hey, I put a Serendipity ROM on my uncles phone last fall so he could get access to the flash player. Now there is a stock Android 2.2 build out there. Am I able to just run the installer via the link that AT&T sent him in a text message? I know trying to update my Droid X in that manner would cause the update to fail.

Has anyone tried to do this, and if so is there a tutorial out there on the topic?

Thanks in advance!

Will ODIN get it done?

Odin one click it back to stock. Then kies for the update. But ibwould recommend just doing serendipity 7. Its gingerbread and atleast twice as fast froyo.

Thanks for the info. That's the route that I would go, too, but my uncle really wanted to have the stock messaging application back on his phone. He liked that one a lot more than the one on Serendipity 5.7.

you can get the stock messaging app from the add-on kitchen on serendipity 7's website. you dont have to go back to stock rom just to get the stock messaging app.

Add-Ons - Serendipity VII
