Samsung Galaxy S2 email problem

Hi - my first post. Have just purchased phone and am receiving mail but outgoing mail is not working. I receive the message "Connection error".

Grateful for any assistance you can offer.

Sorry to hear that ...

You know, I too have had email problems at times (I would have to reboot to get the emails to be sent-out), but I had previously attributed those to not having a good signal. I recently realized that I didn't have Gmail set to auto-sync (i.e., I had sync turned off). Turning sync on seems to have solved this for me.

hi there, i have a galaxy s2, having problems with email (hotmail in particular)

everytime i read an email / deleted them from my phone, the one in the server is still not marked as read (as in doesn't go from bolded to normal text)

and every hour when it sync from the hotmail server, the message that i've read previously was marked as unread (hence i will always have like 30-40 emails unread every hour)

any idea what is happening over here? hope you guys can assist me out, thank you in advance!
