Hey guys,

Laptop issues here-
HP Pavillion DV2000T Core2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Vista Business, Nvidia GeForce GO 7200

My laptop is around 4 years old so no warranty here.

RECENTLY, my screen started displaying green dots all over the place, especially over dark colors. Also the white colors will display as a pale blue. This comes and goes on its own, not constant. This does not appear to be related to overheating. PC is stock, no overclocking or anything.

My guess is maybe my video card is going bad? Does that sound right? If so is that something a novice like myself could replace? Or is it better to just buy a new laptop? (This one still gets the job done just fine for us)

Any thought would be appreciated,

Thank You,

Mike

Try downloading the original video drivers and installing . That might work . MIGHT . I think your screen may be going bad though . Same problem with a Dell and fortunately it was under warranty . I tested my card and it was OK , ended up being the screen itself .
