Today? I'd take the Incredible 2 for the following reasons;

-Verizon is the only carrier I care to use at the moment as they offer me the best combination of coverage/value (grandfathered $10 unlimited smartphone data plan FTW)

-The Incredible 2 offers a larger and brighter screen, 50% more RAM, more usable internal storage for /data/data (low on space notification), MUCH more battery efficient CPU/GPU, 50-75% faster GPU, and still has the form factor that I desire. Contrary to some opinions, the CPU in the Incredible 2 isn't faster than the one in the Incredible, it's just made on a smaller die process which gives it better battery life and less heat.

-The upgraded Sense elements are damn nice.

between the dinc 2 and Thunderbolt, I'm leaning toward the inc2 also. I didn't see the 50% more ram though, thought it just had 8 gigs just like the inc 1. It also has the front facing camera too, which would be nice.

Also, the Thunderbolt is charging for a 4G data package, and we dont have 4G here yet, so thats just useless and would only serve to drain battery life, IMHO>

You're confusing internal storage and RAM. The Incredible has 512MB of RAM whereas the Incredible 2 has 768MB.

As for internal storage, the Incredible 2 has just a hair over 1GB, while the Incredible has 748MB, plus a 6.6GB EMMC partition that acts sort of like an SD card, but can't have apps moved to it. It's largely useless. So, I prefer the Incredible 2's larger internal block of storage, which helps get around the low on space notification.

Data is data with VZW. There's no "4g data plan". There's no "3G data plan".
