Help Transfering files to the Acer Iconia

Hi. I've got a heap (as in thousands) of e-books on my computer (in PDF and other formats). How do I go about transfering these to the Iconia?

I've tried putting them on a USB, but the Iconia doesn't recognise my USB. I've also tried connecting the Iconia directly to the computer, and while I can find storage spots for photos, music etc, I can't find anywhere to store the books

Any help would be greatly appreciated ... I'm really not tech-savy

I have books on my Iconia.All you need to do is pick a spot to put them like the download folder from your computer.
Then you need a file manager program I use EZ file explorer (free on the market) to handle them. You can either open the program that your going to read the books on and point it to your books where they are.
Also you can load the kindle app and get mobi books to read. You can get the program Calibra to convert your books too.

Is your USB drive formatted as Fat32? Older USB drives were sometimes formatted simple Fat, a format that Android won't read.

To check, insert your USB drive in a Windows computer, go to Computer, click on that USB drive, then click on Properties. It will tell you the file type.

If it's not Fat32, you can re-format it to Fat32, but you'll lose everything on the drive, so backup anything you need first.

If your tablet still won't recognize the USB drive, search this forum for "Fat32." There's a lot of discussion on how to get USB drives recognized.

I would first sugest that you make sure your tablet is up to date on the updates. You have to have the 3.2 update for you to be able to real all your files with your PC. Also after the 3.2 your tablet will read external hard drives formated in NTFS. Before the update you can only see the folders but not the files. Windos does not naturally read Android files so you have to have the driver installed on your PC to help you out there.
As for the Buffolo drive I would sugest you plug into your home networkmand access it with the WIFI on your tablet, or maybe try the bluetooth and see if it will connect that way.
