Help add widgets

I'm trying to add a battery widget to my phone so i can see the percentage left right on the homescreen. I'm rooted with CM7 and android 2.3.4 and for some reason when i go to activate the widget, (hold the screen until widgets pop up) its not there with all the other widgets. i've tried 3 different widgets so i know its the phone. i'm running juice defender with autokiller memory optimizer and i'm thinking maybe that has something to do with it? also with the last widget i tried it says please add a widget on your home by Menu/add/widgets what menu is it talking about?

it's talking about your main menu button(2nd from the left). just hit menu then add. it's just an alternative way of adding things to your home screen w/o holding the screen. as far as the widget problem are your widgets saved to your phone or SD card bkuz they HAVE to be save to your phone in order to work

yup thats the problem, i was saving them to my SD card, i swear you're always the one that bails me out of my problems. You're my new best friend.
