Verizon plan question

To all you Droid owners, I've got a question....

I may soon be relocating and have to switch from Sprint to VZ. The only person I ever talk to is my BF who is on Sprint as well. We talk and text very, very much.

Am I correct in assuming that the best option for me would be the 900 minute + unlimited txt plan which includes 5 "Family and Friends" at 79.99 plus the 29.99 data?

Before taxes that comes to $110 bucks. Before taxes with Sprint I am paying 70 bucks. Seems like a kick in the privates to up my bill 40 bucks a month. I would be totally happy with the 450 minute+txt plan+data, but there's just that one person I constantly talk to....

Is there any other option, or does it seem like I've got a grasp on it?

Thanks a bunch.

1. This belongs in the Verizon forum. ;)

2. Big Red is indeed about $30 - $40 more expensive than Sprint. It sucks, but if you need it, you need it.

3. Suck it up..or get a less needy boyfriend. LOL.

Just Kidding. Yes, you have a grasp on it. I'm annoyed that I can't get my favorite 5 with the 450 minute plan. But with 900 minutes and a favorite 5, I use about 30 minutes / month. Because I call the same 5 numbers all the time, LOL.

That's what I currently have except I only have the $10 text plan, prices suck but its the price I was willing to pay to have consistently good service.

Whoops. As much time as I spend on this forum you'd think I'd notice there are carrier forums. My B!

Thanks for your advice. I have had Verizon in the past and LOVE the service (and am envious of the Droid!) - I guess I have just been spoiled at how much lower my bill is now with Sprint

Your calculations are correct and yes, Verizon Wireless is more expensive.

You basically pay for what you get: Verizon Wireless has industry leading customer service, an industry leading voice network, and an industry leading 3G network...

Personally, I'd just get the Unlimited Talk, Text, and Web(data) for smartphone for $119.99...if you're going to pay $110, why not pay $9 more to get more. Also, don't forget the insurance which is $7.99 for Total Equipment Coverage.
