Alright, let's see what these things can do :)

Please include ROM, kernel, and any notable performance mods.

ROM: Prime v1.5
Kernel: Clemsyn-Blades-CPAjuste-supercurio OC kernel version 16 combo @ 1.6 GHz

hey UB, got a query, any point in rooting and modding the chipset to a higher speed? i.e. notable differences? battery impact? thanks in advance!

Yeah, there are performance improvements but they are not drastic by any means. This tablet is fast @ 1.0GHz so its not like OC'ing fixes performance problems. There is still keyboard lag when typing on this forum (as well as other sites) which is an Android issue because most if not all devices experience the same.

Battery has been appearing to drain a little faster while not sleeping and that's expected. I'd say I'm probably loosing an hour of battery life with the OC. If I was away from a charger and wanted to maximize battery life, I'd turn it down to 1.0 GHz.

In the end...I like to mod my devices for the custom ROMs more than the OC. Custom kernels are important but tweaking the ROMs I feel is where its at.

Hope that helps.

well at least i now know it isnt just a hardware issue thats involved in this. kinda makes me wonder when the android team developed honeycomb if they actually carried out any proper UAT, cos my goodness, this particular issue is just....basic?

but thanks for the reply, think im gonna stick to the unrooted and official releases for now (at least for 11 or so months cos of warranty). If the performance hike was notable with everything then fair doos, but it just seems to be a flaw with the OS for now i guess.

Thanks again!

The place I have noticed the biggest improvement with OC'ing is viewing 720P flash videos in the browser.

Honestly, I use the YouTube app a lot (which is a great app in the Honeycomb build) and don't watch many HD flash vids in the browser...but at 1.6GHz, there was no jitter in the video and when I turned it down to 1.0GHz, there were some dropped frames and studders.

I don't get why my score is 1518. Anyone else getting this? I had turned the tablet off and on before running the test.

How many times did you run the test consecutively? The first time you run it is usually the lowest score (and many would say the most accurate score).

This is my second run with the Revolver ROM v1.1.3 / Dynamite Kernel combo running @ 1.6GHz :D
