Playing Music Through Jawbone Icon?

Please forgive me if this has been addressed but I didn't get any hits when using the search function.

My friend just bought an Optimus S as well as a Jawbone Icon and she is having trouble getting music to play through the Jawbone. She is using the stock music player. The Jawbone has the latest firmware update and is paired correctly with the phone. She can make and receive calls fine. However, when she starts the music player no audio comes through the Jawbone.

We've tested the Jawbone with my EVO 4G and music comes through the Jawbone just fine with no special settings. Just pairing it with my EVO and firing up the stock music player.

It is my understanding that the Optimus S supports A2DP so she should be able to do this. Is there something in the settings that she is missing?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The problem is that you're not using stereo headphones so Android isn't expecting to pipe the stereo music out to your monoraul Jawbone headset. I use a free app called BTMono to play stereo music to my headset. It works with any media player.

That's what I initially thought and that is why I tested it with my HTC EVO 4G and music from the stock player played fine through the same Jawbone headset.

Unless my EVO is automatically converting the stereo signal to mono before sending it via bluetooth...

Anyway, thanks for response! :)
