I don't notice any significant interface differences other than Quick Settings. (when you drag down the drawer on the home screen)

There is a small icon on the camera screen now so you can just tap it to switch between front and rear cameras.

Not sure if there was an icon for Downloads in the app drawer with Froyo, but I noticed it as I was sifting through my phone.

When you open the browser and click the url box, it starts with a blank box instead of having to delete the text in the box. (Did I word that correctly so it's understandable?)

Google Sky Maps is still just a hair off, while Google Maps seemed to locate me quicker and with greater precision.

Benchmark score bumped up 100ish points..

Gives you the option in the phonebook to show contacts from different places (i.e. Gmail, phone, SIM, etc.) Not sure if this is new, but it prompted me to pick when I looked at my phonebook list.

Applications seem to load a lot faster like opening the browser, when you press the End Call button, it goes away immediately, etc.

Mine took 45 minutes total. I don't notice any real changes either. Just the quick settings and the new Metal Skin? or is it not new? lol. Other than that, I think the front facing camera is 1MP instead of 1.3MP now. No biggie to me. Never use it. The email icon is faded in the notification bar? Or no? IDK lol.Trying to dig deep for some changes. lol

I don't like what they did to the peoples app. All my Google+ contact are at the top and I see no way to remove them. You can now also have your facebook and Twitter contacts in you All peoples list. These can be removed but the Google+ are still there. Anyone know how to remove them?

Otherwise, so far I like it. I don't really notice and reception differences right now.

Sadly all those skins are for froyo...

I just played a game of fruit ninja & it works WAY, WAY, better. Nice to hear that we are about 100 points better on benchmarks, not too shabby from a software update.

I think this makes this phone WAY more appealing. We will get more custom skins, just gotta give people time.

Preferred the old Plain white M Gmail notification bar ICON. The new one looks like it was made by a 5th grader or me. Quadrant scores are lower, down from 1520 -1580 to about 1420. I expected them to be higher. Phone does not seem slower though.

Quick Settings is nice. Can't tell about phone reception yet, had more dropped calls and calls breaking up with DINC2 Froyo than DINC1 Froyo. Did they update the CDMA radio in this update?

Battery life has been better from day 1 on the DINC2 than the DINC1, will see how battery life is now with GB on DINC2.

Other than that, no big woop, more hype than actual useful improvements. Oh and speakerphone still is not nearly as good as on DINC1

What software are you using to check benchmarks and what scores are you getting?

If anyone was using the Thunderbolt Skins from the XDA forum you will need to download a different version of the skins. Go to this link, the skins here work with the new Gingerbread update.

[SKIN][04.07.2011] Skins for HTC Thunderbolt 4G Sense 2.1 roms. - xda-developers

EDIT: DO NOT try to use the skins at this link, these do now work with Gingerbread.

Can you clarify which skins work now with gingerbread?

Something I just noticed with my phone.

There were some apps that would not move to the SD Card with Froyo, now with the Gingerbread update I am able to move some to the SD card. Also, at the bottom of your Manage Apps list it now shows the Internal memory and updates as you move apps to and from the SD card. I like that feature.
