I'm considering the differences between my HORRIFIC experience with DX2 prior to factory reset and now. I avoided installing practically any apps. I recall the nightmare that facebook caused with DX in the early days. So this begs the question, how many of you having terrible problems with DX2 have FB installed?

I have FB installed although I rarely use it on the phone. It's mainly installed so that I can have "pretty pictures" for my contacts. Although I have the occasional issue of a lost data signal or a unexpected reboot (very rare), I don't think my troubles come close to what some claim to have on these forums.

I recently got my invite to Google+. I'd be interested to see if that service takes off allowing me to drop FB on the phone in favor of G+ for syncing with contact photos...

I have had no problems with the standard FB android app, or with another android FB app. In fact, guess I'm lucky, but I haven't had ANY problems with this phone that are significant, just maybe an occasional lag in screen movement, nothing to be bothersome. I'll probably keep it for the entire 2 year contract. Just love this phone!

Are you able to take 60 seconds of video? Just curious. I have yet to hear from anyone who can.

I've not installed the facebook app on ym phone and I still get the audio lag. I'm about 100% convinced its ram related. As soon as I dip below about 80MB free RAM the music pops multiple times a minute. I use the built in task killer and free some RAM up and the problem stops.

Yup, I've had some major DX2 issues, but I can record longer videos with no issues (usually). I think I did a 4.5min video last week for some holiday celebrations.

I must admit, the 720p DX2 videos look and sound a TINY bit better than the DX1's videos do assuming no crashes and good lighting. Now, I will get a lockup or crash of the camera app maybe 10-20% of the time when recording but I do not really notice the major choppiness or stuttering others have complained about in their recordings. I do have a 32Gb Sandisk Class 2, a 16Gb Sandisk Class 4 and an 8Gb Transcend Class 6, so card speed is likely a factor. The bundled 8Gb no-name card seems to be pretty flaky.

Well I had some random reboots on my phone all last week. Some early morning while the phone was charging, some while recording a video, some while watching youtube. Well I brought it to Verizon and the tech said it was a common problem and that it has nothing to do with the hardware, should be fixed with an update soon. Well I did a factory reset like the OP did and for about 3 days had not a single issue. All I had installed was BofA, Clockr, BattStatt, Facebook, Zedge, Dolphin Browser and NESN (a local sports network). Well last night and the night before, I got woken up by a loud DROID a couple times and it was followed by a weird ringing, when I first heard it I looked and nothing so I put it down, but then it happened again and realized the DROID was the phone booting up and the weird ringing was the SD Card connecting.

Well, what I am getting at is that this morning I remember someone on here had mentioned that it was the market updates that were causing the phone to restart. When the phone rebooted on me this morning and woke me up, I noticed that the only notification I had was that market updates were available. If anyone else is getting these updates, try to confirm that this may be the issue and if so, then I will turn it off and see if I get anymore restarts.

I haven't had any issues which would make me complain about my DX2. I love it. HOWEVER, earlier this week I had a random reboot for the first time and also noticed that a market update was available. I instantly associated the market update with the random reboot. It has only happened the one time...

Have you had an audio skipping problems? I've not had rebooting issues, but audio lag is not too uncommon. The only app we have in common is dolphin HD, although I have a lot more apps installed.

Thanks for the info, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the phone, just the reboots get annoying! Especially while recording a video and it restarts on me, but I haven't had any issues since using the internal memory as the storage unit for recording videos/taking pictures.

Here is an example video I took, no audio lag, skips or anything.
‪24th Birthday Madness in Boston!‬‏ - YouTube

I also hear people having issues recording more than a minute. I have a 10 minute video with no issues at all on my phone so I have no issues with that either.

I have listened to Pandora a couple times and even when I listen to music on youtube, I have not had any issues with audio popping or skipping or anything, I haven't really listened for it or noticed it so. When I listen to it next time I will definitely listen for it now and keep you updated if anything happens.
