Please, I know this is long. . . But I really need somebodys help. I have a Samsung Fascinate. Been having problems w/it for several months now. I have been back and forth with Verizon and have done several Factory Data Resets and have recieved 3 "Certified Like New Replacements". I still continued to have problems so a friend of mine said he knew how to fix my problem and rooted my phone w/o me knowing or even telling me there was a risk of voiding my warranty on my phone. He swore up and down that it would fix all of the problems and it hasnt. I called Verizon and they said they will replace my phone for free w/ a different one since I am continuing to have problems w/it. They said my warranty will be voided if there is any physical or water damage,or any signs of rooting. I just recieved the replacement today (which is not new like they said it would be, its another "Certified like new replacement"). I have to send the fascinate back w/in 5 days and I am wondering if there is anyway to UNROOT my phone so my warranty doesnt get voided. Also my friend told me that a simple FDR should solve my problem. Which with my past experience w/ his so called "Expertise", I am not too sure about anything he says now. I really need some help and advice. If I had known what he was doing w/my phone would void my warranty, I wouldnt have ever let him do it. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME! Oh and by the way, I am not genius, I need information that is going to be simple and easy to follow. Thank you.

search for the di01 fix all and follow the instructions to odin it to your phone...makes it just like ti came from the factory...
Hey thank you so much for the information. . . but I am stuck because I dont know what your talking about. . . Where and how do I need to look for this di01 fix all that you speak of? . . . Please forgive me. . . I am still learning :)

I looked at all of that stuff and I am so unbelieveably confused. I have no clue what I am supposed to do still. I hope you can forgive me for my technical ignorance. If you have the time I need step by step help because I dont know what I am supposed to do with those links and how to really do any of those things or even what any of this stuff means.

http://adrynalyne.us/files/kernels/DI01package3.tar.md5 click this link and download this file.

download samsung drivers, either 64bit or 32 bit depending on computer and Install Samsung Drivers
64bit:
http://www.wikifilez.com/root%20file...alaxyS_x64.zip
or
32bit:

1. Install the samsung drivers on your computer
2. Open the odin program
3. remove battery from your phone
4. hold the down volume button and plug USB cable into phone (other end needs to be plugged into computer first)
5. when it says Download with a big yellow triangle you are ready
6. Click on PDA on Odin *(ONLY ONLY ONLY USE PDA)*
7. Select the Di01 .tar file you downloaded up there
8. click start
9. Once Odin says pass in green in the first window you can unplug your phone and reinstall battery and start up
10. you are now unrooted back to the orignal stock image that the phone came with.

If you are that confused about the information, you should NOT do anything to your phone. Un-doing some of these things to your phone are difficult.
Return the phone to verizon until they give you a phone that works correctly.

With all do respect I am a very fast learner and just needed somebody to tell me EXACTLY what I needed to do. . . and my problem was I couldnt take my phone back to Verizon w/o voiding my warranty. . . But all is good and taken care of now thanks to tgulch22.
