Buying SGS2 from India a good idea?

I have the opportunity to buy the exynos version of SGS2 from India before I leave for florida in a week...is it a good idea to go for it?

I love the phone and am sure this is the phone i wana own, but have no idea how well it'll work in the US :( ...

1.) what carries can i go for and what plans can i take(hw much will they cost per month - calls +data) ?

2.) will all these plans be prepaid?

3.) will it turn out to be (bill amount wise i dnt mind paying a lotta money fr the cost of the handset) more expensive in the long run as compared to a contract?

4.) will i not get 3g speed on it? (read somewhere that the US 3g band is diff and SGS@ may nt support it)

5.) ANY other reason u guys can think of fr me to not buy this phone from India?

Thanks every1 fr your inputs :) ...every one here's been telling me to wait fr this phone to get released in the US, but i just love it too much to wana wait unless its necessary :D...esp since i hv held it in my hand a couple of times and just didnt wana let go ;)
