I have an android HTC Eris. Its not at all a very powerful phone. I was wondering if there was away to make it more powerful, and I don't mean like get an app to clean stuff up or to prevent apps from starting. Is there away to upgrade the phone to make the overall processing speed of everything faster?

Rooting and overclocking (710 is generally the safe high for the eris). If you've already done this, I'm not sure about replacing a processor with another. I've never heard of it being done.

Surely you have! The process is a simple one, of which even the most technically illiterate may overcome!

Step 1) Purchase jewelers toolkit, the kind with the tiny screwdrivers.
Step 2) Purchase one of those fancy lamps with the magnifying glass and ring light to let you see what you're doing better.
Step 3) Place your Visa underneath said lamp, and enter the raised numbers into Amazon.com while viewing a listing for a Droid Incredible.

Tada, twice the processing power in three easy steps.

:D:D

That just totally made me smile!

But yeah don't we all wish our little Eris phone had a little more under the hood! I still love this phone and rooting gave it new life for sure, but hardware limitations just suck...
Gonna hold on to it for a while longer, not impressed with any of the currently available phones. The Thunderbolt was promising, but hmm too big and heavy along with all its other problems. :(

Sry for this totally not informative post, but I couldn't resist to reply. :)
