Root cm7 problem

i love the mod the only problems i have with it. it that when i hit the power button the phone doesnt always come back on. some times i have to press the button a fews times.

also problem number 2 is the light sensor. when im on a call and take the phone away from my face it doesnt always turn back on i have to force it back on by pressing teh power button.

anyone else have these problems? if so how do i fix them?

I also have the same issue with the screen not coming on when I press the power button. It seems to be a lock screen issue. When I press the button and the screen doesn't come up, I just swipe my finger across the screen the same I would if I was unlocking the phone and the screen comes on unlocked.

Are you using SetCPU? If so are you using a screen off profile? If you are, what is it set to? If it's set to 245/245 try scaling it a bit higher.....try 245/384.

no im not using set cpu im just using the cm 7.1 rom and the salveged zen mod cfs

Like most problems, wiping cache and Dalvik cache can solve some of these problems, have you tried this?

Maybe then it's the kernel that you are using. Have you tried a different kernel other than SavagedZen? Tiamat just released a new kernel the other day, I believe it's 4.0.6

yes i had timat but since i updated to cm7.1 it doesnt like timat anymore so now im using salvaged zen.

I had the same problem with cm7. Every once in a while the screen would "kinda" come on, and you could see a faint and heavily blurred image of the screen. A few presses of the power button would fix it, but beyond that I found no way to completely remove it (tried cache wipes, kernals... all that good stuff).

Are those the only 2 that you've tried? There's about 8 different AOSP kernels to choose from, ranging from sbc, non-sbc, cfs, bfs What works for one phone may act differently for another
