More 2.1 half rumors

It says they will be releasing new devices and innovations. I didn't mean the event would just be for an update, but I wouldn't be surprised if they announced it then...

And why wouldn't it be tied into a press event? They announce new phones, and Sense running on 2.1? Thats more than a simple phone update.
Lekky I really want to believe it, but have they ever been known to announce something like this before at a press event?

I don't see why they wouldn't tie it in.

"Here is out projected product range for H1 of 2010, each Android model you see here is shipped with our own custom baked 2.1 Sense enabled Android OS which we CAN confirm is scheduled to be released for the Hero this coming week."
<insert video demo of any major changes here>

Easy, you see?

By the end of March.
Are HTC having a laugh.
I shall be sticking with the android platform but i do know my next phone wont be a HTC.

Ive never known a company that keeps on putting out rumours of updates via twitter that come to nothing.

For those that are new to the phone im talking about 1.6 2.0 and now 2.1 if it ever happens.

I think that's extremely unfair. 1.6 2.0 and 2.1 all came in quick succession. And it's not like HTC have an obligation to update your handset so you can't really bitch about it. I wouldn't say they put out rumours either, they give as much information as they can and they update their customers a lot more than most companies do.
Personally I think HTC are awesome :)

Meteor is a mobile operator probably selling branded (=software customized for the operator) Hero. HTC usually makes the new software for the unbranded version first, then for the branded ones.

by the way guys, i am on orange..once HTC release 2.1 should i get that rom? or wait until they release the orange version like they did with the latest update?

whats the difference/problems if i get the htc one and dont wait for the orange specific update?

As far as I know, the WWE version won't install on your Orange at all (unless you have rooted) so you won't have the option
