Hey all, I've been wanting to see how's everyone's LTE speed on your charge in their areas.

Please post:

I must be a moron, I can't figure out the screen shot thing.

So, my speeds seem to stay steady at 5MB/s down, and just under 3MB/s upload.

It was fun today comparing our 4G speeds today when I saw some friends with Evo's on Spring .... they had like 46kbps with only 3G service... they were drooling!

Yea, Verizon's LTE is definitely miles ahead of other carriers' so called "4G".

Where are you located? It seems way too slow for LTE.

Live in Tucson and travel to Phoenix frequently for work. The Verizon 3g in Tucson is horrible and slow. It is suppose to be upgraded soon though.

Phoenix is suppose to be 4g town. But I've certainly never seen the speeds you all have posted. I'm back up there next week, so I'll try again.

Would it be an issue with my phone?

This is my highest test, it's typically between 10-20Mbps...

I've tried different servers and my manager at work has a Thunderbolt and gets 35+download every time! I can't break 8, not even letting him do the same thing on my Charge that he does on his TB. I'm starting to think something is wrong with me phone, bc I get 7 down and he gets at least 35, he blows me away in browser speed too. Kinda embarrassing lol.

Hmm, there's something wrong with your phone. Your phone cannot be 5 times slower than his!

Ok I have discovered there is defiantly something defective in the Charge radios (both 3G and 4G). I thought it was just my phone because I could never connect to 4G (very rare) and I live in a very prime NYC location..The other problem is 3G always goes in and out. Now I've had over 10+ smartphones with no problems of 3G EVER in my area. the replacement phone is just as bad...

Those high end results are sick!! I'm in SE Hamilton County and NW Indy and have only gotten above 15Mbs/sec once. I usually pull about 11/down and 4-5/up.
What part of town are you in?

I'll post a screen of my results soon...

Ok here is a screeny from Speed Test.

From Indianapolis.

Update: The good readings are here at my house. the bad readings are from places out in the country with bad 3g or wifi connections.

I don't know how much this affects the results of the test, but the app seems to think that i'm on the Secaucus, NJ tower, but I'm actually in Rochester, NY. So I would think trying to use a server about 250 miles away would affect my results. Using those nj servers, it reads around 10 mbps. Manually selecting my Rochester servers, I fluctuate between 3-6 mbps. Seems a little low to me.
