I've a mild problem:

The brightness of the screen is very tenuous, just I can view something... In settings, in of screen option, the brightness is in the maximum... I don't know that more i can do... =(

I'm going crazy =P

You know which could be the problem?

Thanks so much.

Maybe that's its actually max blacklight brightness? My facepad doesn't feel that bright at full brightness. Nothing bad just nothing bright. My psp in max brightness is two times as bright. But watching movies and such is nice.

Well I am pretty sure FT3 and FP have just a normal LCD not even SLCD that you would expect more. Still if you think somethign is wrong maybe try an android app called Brightness Level. I hope it helps.

I have just installed the brightness level aplication, but is in 100%, and the screen continue a little dark =(.

The first time that i used the pad, the brightness was more higher than now =(

The problem is very rare =s When I slide the bar (in the screen option) to the right, just before arrive to finish, the brightness decays =S

you can view a little of this here:

‪Flytouch 3 problem brightness‬‏ - YouTube

more ideas? =(

Sorry for my english, and repeat, thanks so much :D:D

That looks like a backlight hardware fault to me.....have you tried the HDMI out to a TV?

No, i haven't proved it, but i'll check it when i have the HDMI cable.

PD: if is a failure of hardware... how i can fix it?

I have the same issue with my Superpad 2. 100% brightness is usable but a bit dark. 75%, not so much. 50% or less = black screen.

edit: I installed the following ROM and it seems to fixed the issue. The stock firmware and a different ROM both had the weak screen brightness.

SuperPad2 Flytouch3 Hybrid Tim Rom

I have had this firmware... but nothing =( the problem continues

At first, this, didn't happen =(

Thanks, really.

Sorry to say by far your best bet if it is a backlight fault would be to return the unit as faulty. It could be either the screen itself or the backlight power supply, which is probably on the main board on something this size.......

if thats not an option then opening it up and wiggling the wires is a good place to start!

How I do it? =( Exists any tutorial?

If you have the original flytouch case with the one piece silver back & sides then look here...
Opening the Flytouch III Part 1. If you have the later facepad case with the black plastic back then I don't know of a tut to open it....just people saying they broke the screen trying to open theirs......take extreme care!!!!!

There will PROBABLY be two ribbon cables connecting the front screen half with the pcb that will be in the rear half. One of the ribbon cables will be much bigger than the other, the big one is the data cable, and the smaller one will be the touch screen cable. TAKE EXTREME CARE not to stress either cable. The larger cable is the one you are interested in, peel back any tape securing it and gently wobble the cable from side to side near where it is attached to the screen, replace the tape. see if the other end - where the cable attaches to the pcb has the same tape securings and if so do the same. Carefully re-fit the two halves together and ensure it clips together...switch on and pray!!
