Anyone go from Thunderbolt to Inc2?

Has anyone come here from a Thunderbolt? I just got mine last week in for the unlimited data but the battery life is horrendous on the Thunderbolt. The 4G is nice but I don't know if that is worth all the other troubles (and the 150$ more I have to pay). Can't I think of the Inc2 as a smaller TB with better battery and the same features? If so, I'd probably take the exchange to get the Inc2. In fact, with the TB 4.3 inch screen, I can't even reach the top of the phone with my thumb (maybe I have small hands) so I actually have to use 2 hands if I want to pull the notifications down. Which is a total pain. Anyone switched from TB to Inc2?

I had the Bolt for a week before returning it. Battery life was horrible and the fact that it was too big made me finally decide to return it. 4G is great but useless w/ a dead battery.

I now have the Inc2 and love it. I had the original Inc too. No complaints. Its the perfect size and 3G speed is fine with me. Battery life is average and reliable.

Sweet, thanks for the reply. How does the 3G speeds compare? Is it worth the extra headache and 150$ for 4G? What about the battery life? How many hours did you get on the Bolt for the same amount of activity on the Inc2? 10 hours vs 18? or so?

Anyway, Sounds like the Dinc2 is more for you. It was an easy choice for me as I don't care for 4G.

Well, 4G is a lot faster but I'm okay with that. I dont wanna spend too much time surfing the web on my cell. 3G is fine w/ me. IMO, definately not worth the headache and $$$$ for 4G. When i had the bolt, 3 times in a week the battery died at the worst moment when i didnt have my charger w/ me. 6 hrs tops i think before you start worrying on the battery life.

Get the Inc2 ...worth it.

Hey, if you are having trouble "grabbing" the notification bar, you might want to try an app called "hello status bar". If you put it on the bottom row, you press it and the bar comes down. I use it even on my Dinc2 just because I like it better than pulling down the bar.

Ah, thanks! There wasn't anything in particular to point out but yes, that has been a problem and I'll consider it for an Inc2 too.

What can the TB do that the Inc 2 not do? The 4G and kickstand is all I can think of. seems like a no brainer switch for me eh?

Also a slightly bigger screen and it comes with a bigger Micro SD card.

I am due for an update in 9 days and have been going back and forth between this and the TB. This week I am leaning towards the Inc2. LOL. Battery life just might be my deciding factor.

Probably my last post before I make a final decision since my 30 days of exchange is almost up.

Since this is my first droid phone I have no experience with rooting but I would definitely be interested in learning more and probably doing it in the near future when I have a better grasp of it. My question is how good is rooting in my comparison between the Inc2 and TB?

Tell me who wins in these:
1. Thunderbolt rooted vs. Inc2 rooted in terms of battery life
2. Thunderbolt rooted vs Inc2 rooted in terms of functionality (which is probably the same)
3. Thunderbolt vs Inc2 battery unrooted (stock)

How much can rooting the TB change its battery life? how about rooting the Inc2?

I just basically wanna know if the 8-10 hours I can get out of my Thunderbolt now with just light-moderate use, on 4G will improve drastically enough that it justifies keeping it over switching to a more battery friendly Inc2. I am a college student and I do a lot of texting, calling, and video watching but I usually carry my laptop around so surfing the web when I am walking to class or rsomething would be the only time that is actually utilized.

After having a TB (non-rooted) running bare minimum as far as widgets/syncing/turning off 4G/etc., running juice defender, and doing EVERYTHING i could think of (or get advice on) to save battery life - including not using it as much as I did my DINC1, I cannot IMAGINE getting 8-10 hours out of the TB and still being able to enjoy having it.

I was getting MAYBE 8 hours with little to no use in a 3G area. When I travelled into a 4G area, it was more like 4-6. I could not enjoy my phone the way I had prior to owning a TB.

Current battery technology isn't ready for 4G IMO. If you go the TB route, you will have to curb the three activities listed (texting, calls/video).

When I took a picture of the metal stand it was on, it was a bit like one of those offwhite light bulbs were shining on it yet when I took the same picture with a droid X2, it showed the true colors. Was this just a bad phone on display? or is this inherent in all Inc2s? Also how does the video quality compare? I had pretty nice quality from my TB that I hope to replicate on the Inc2. (Although I have heard there are sound issues due to the smaller sound bar).

I thought they were? both 8MP 720p recording. Did you have the yellowish hue on your camera? That might just have been a defect on the display model.
