Hey everybody

I was doing some research today about possible upgrades and I've come down to a few choices:

Huawei Ascend 2 - $130

Huawei Glory (November) - $300?

Or Used Phones (Craigslist) that are flashed to Cricket like:

Droid X - $200

HTC EVO 4g - $200

I dont want to spend more than $200 on a phone, but by the time November comes I might have $300 saved. (I doubt it lol)

Which of these would be a good choice? And do y'all have any other suggestions?

If you're looking to change carriers & phones, you might want to check out www.mysimplemobile.com
They use unlocked GSM phones, which you can get your own from anywhere or buy from SimpleMobile. If you get your own, make sure it will work w/their service first.
As soon as my prepaid CRICKET service is up in late September,I'll probably be opting for this service & looking forward to trying out another ANDROID model(only if I can find the perfect phone/price combination, otherwise,it's the ASCEND until I smoke-check it)!
I can't begin to express my gratitude to everyone here in ASCENDISTAN for making the experience w/this phone more than I could have ever hoped for.

If your gonna be with Cricket until late September, you might as well stick around until November for the Glory! Don't jump off the bandwagon right before we reach the promised land lol!

I'm keeping my options open, that's what's so nice about prepaid.
If the GLORY ends up being a 4G phone,I'd definitely consider it along w/anything else that is comparable that is available on a prepaid carrier.A LOT of phones will probably be hitting the market @ that time of year,a definite plus for the consumer.

Honestly if i were going to go with simple mobile i would go with an iphone. Not sure about pricing in everyone's area, but here in the Tampa Bay area, the 3gs jailbroken can be had for around $150.00 in mint shape. The iphone 4 goes for around 300.

Last November we told you about 22 smartphone names Samsung has has applied trademark for and, among names like Indulge and Infuse, there was the Admire too. Turns out the Admire is headed to MetroPCS and has been recently leaked, pictured above.

The Samsung Admire for MetroPCS allegedly features an 800MHz processor, 3.5-inch HVGA screen, Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread with Samsung's own TouchWiz UI, 3.2-megapixelcamera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Rumor has it the phone will be available sometime around August or September and will go for around $149.99 after rebate, maybe even lower.

I would pay 149 for that phone, but i am awaiting the LG BRYCE which is supposed to have a Oct/Nov Release....

Yes, I know. But a few people that I know are ready to switch to VM to get this phone and possibly switch back when the Glory comes out.

Well as cricket unfortunately is not available in my area (Wish it were), but Boost, Metro, and SimpleMobile are. I like simple mobile as it is a GSM based carrier which means a whole big selection of phones and devices both 3 and 4g.

With that being said i was considering going to boost, however in light of upcoming phone releases from Metro, i am going to do a wait and see. The above phone is pretty cool looking, and that one with the Bryce means finally and Droid based phone with a built in LED flash for the camera, and i do believe the above Samsung is going to be a 4g LTE Phone. The memory specs, and processor should also make it capable of running FLASH, so that would take care of those needs as well.

So for me it just boils down to when Metro actually releases the new phones, and what they price them at. I know i can pick up an EVO or EVO shift all day long that is already flashed to Metro for less than 250.

I really dont like the shift because of the bulky slide out keyboard that i personally would rarely use. But they do tend to run a little cheaper than the regular EVO.

When is the Motorola Triumph coming out for VM? I looked on the website, and It wasn't there.

This phone looks pretty awesome, and the 25$ a month plan we be cool, because I don't talk on the phone that much

The only thing I would be worried about is the 3G coverage. My cricket has fast internet everywhere, but my house. I can hardly even make calls at my house... but it is ok because i have wifi here.

My brother has VM and he can make calls mostly everywhere just fine, but his 3G coverage is bad. He cant load Pandora (unless in wifi) and the web browsing is SLOW.

Should I Stay with Cricket or change to VM?

EDIT: I Just Looked and the triumph IS on the website. it just came out today 7-20
