Wow nice, do i just "install zip from sd card" just like an cyanogenmod update? never installed a system app through recovery before

Just installed the updated market through recovery, and im getting constant FC, any you know of any reason why I would be, or if theres no fixes is there any way to get the old version back appart from re installing cyanogen through fastboot?

Will a restore from mybackuproot restore the old market, or doesnt it backup system apps?

That's odd, I'm having no problems with it, and I've been using it for about a week..
I'm completely guessing, but have you tried wiping cache, and maybe davlik-cache?
There is a way to get the old Market back, and thats to install the vending.apk through recovery.
I'll try and create a zip for you now. one second.

Install that through clockwork to get the old one back.

Im pretty certain MyBackUp doesnt backup system apps.

kk thanks and i'll try wiping cache, and if needed a reinstall of the updated market incase there were any problems in the download for some reason, i'll keep you posted

Wiping cache and reinstall didnt work, so reinstalled old market for now, might try the new one again tomorrow, see if I can find the problem, thanks for your help and compiling the old market for me

The old market installer doesn't seem to instal the old market, in clockwork the bar goes to about 10% then says its installed updated market, but the new one stays on my phone and im still getting constant FC, and i forgot to do a backup through clockwork, i know im stupid lol

Sorry, I see my mistake.. it was named Vending.apk not vending.apk >_<

Thanks, got my old market back, gonna see if I can find out why the new one FC if I can, the few seconds I saw of it looks awesome and I wanna use it lol

I reistalled CyanogenMod 7 RC1 through fastboot, then installed the new market and it doesnt FC anymore, but when I try to download apps it just says "starting download" but doesnt download the apps, my phone has internet access, but it just wont download the apps, this is on a clean RC1 install with only system apps installed.

Problem seems to have sorted now, got mybackuproot downloaded, now, thanks for all your help

seems to be a major problem with lisence checks, so i think ill wait for now.
