Ok so here is the thing guys, when using titanium backup and moving apps to my sd, it leaves the app data in a folder called /data/data. I have researched moving apps2sd. Partitioned my sd and every thing seems to be working normally. Now if only i could do something with the data.

Also shabby the app2sd app that u included in the rom always force closes???

Delete it and download App 2 SD from the Market . It may force close when installing ..... just reboot and it should start working . :D

one reason I want to see ext3 support in kernel the app2sd still has to leave a symbolic link to the data folder which takes up space though it is less then the full app of course.

thanks i will give that a shot..

so the partition should not be ext3? I had it as ext2 and repartitioned it as ext3 last night to see if that would solve the issue..

They really screwed us with the internal memory on this phone... but hey it was only 179

At this time I am not sure if app2 sd can use a ext partition, either 2 or 3 I was under the impression it would only send to a fat32:thinking:

however even if it can send to ext partition it still has to leave the symbolic link, the phone kernel still does not recognize the extended partition.

Ok i must be wrong.. i was under the impression that to move data to sd the partition must be formated ext.... in that case did i need to even partition at all???

nope not for app2sd, it will create a folder on your sd card, far as I remember I used it for a little while but decided I didnt have enough apps to worry about filling up my phone and the performance hit I was experiencing wasnt worth it.
