Root [Radio] [Leak] [7-17-11]2.xx.xxx.x Radio New Gingerbread RUU

I just reread and checked baseband numbers and this is definitely new.

Okay I see what you are talking about now. Along with Chingy's OP at Rootzwiki having "DO NOT POST THIS AT XDA" on it.

Looks like chingy released the radio and someone over at XDA found something completely different that may be able to get to to stock nonrooted if you need for some reason.

I remember when the root ecosystem was easy and I didn't have to check 5 different sites for info, but at least now I have something to flash tonight! Thanks again Worm!

What do you mean "see" data loss?

I was referring to Ibrick's post. Sorry, should have quoted it:

So far so good. On the OTA MR2, I would be showing 1-2% data loss by now.

As of right now it's not even showing 0%, which it was showing if I had lost data but not long enough to hit a full %.

Definately seems more stable, on 3G at least..

Will test 4G and WIFI handoffs this evening.

Quick ?, I just downloaded and checked the md5 with the OP and the numbers are slightly off, what should I do?

Kudos to you for not blindly flashing  it would have been ok in this situation, since the reference number on the OP was a typo. If the md5 had been off because of a bad or incomplete download, flashing could have resulted in non working radios or worse

Good job, hopefully new rooters will learn from it :)

I was referring to data loss, where no signal.

Settings, about phone, battery use, cell standby.

It will show a percentage when the phone has been without data. This radio is MUCH better. Previous radio would be about 1%, no data for every hour phone was on.

i stand corrected :) sorry ibrick, i dint realize that number was a "time without data" measurement. ive never been real concerned with it,as it hasnt seemd to affect much as far as battery life. i remember the eris and the ally being plauged with the "50% bug" so ive always been concerned more with the "time without signal" number.

i just thot that the high cell standby was an AOSP quirk that hadnt been ironed out yet, since running sense roms its never that high.

Battery life seems to have settled down for me. I've lost about 5% in the last 3 hours. Light browsing, Google constantly syncing, WiFi on 4G/GPS off, Twitter pulling updates every 5 minutes and listening to music. Pretty good, IMO. Usually would have dropped about 10-13% on 0627.

I'm still hoping the battery settles, did burn through more than usual today..

Although I used the internet a lot more often since I wasn't getting error messages every couple minutes so gotta account for that too..
