$299? Bummer :( I'll still buy it but....y'know that's a little pricy

Sneak peek at the Droid Does Motorola Droid Bionic page points to a $299 price tag | Android Central

Edit: This is fake guys, sorry about that :(

That's a little pricey. 249 would be better. Charged started at that price too, but we all know it was overpriced for its spec.
Glad that it's not 4.5" like rumored many times, but its physical dimension still seems to be larger than Tbolt.

And almost as thick as the D3, if .52" is correct. Actually, it is thicker, since the D3 is .5". The LTE and maybe a bigger battery is probably the reason. Perhaps it should be named the Monolith.

Oh no .02" thicker. The world is coming to an end lol.

Except the D3 has a physical keyboard. For the Bionic to be even nearly as thick as, let alone actually thicker than, the D3 is a bit surprising.

The battery isn't that much bigger. This really seems to show how big the LTE radios are right now (which, FWIW, further argues against the Verizon SGS2 being LTE without a big design change)

Its $299 if you buy it VZW but I bet that it'll be between $179-$229.99 at costco and maybe even cheaper online. You just have to wait until they get it.

Don't quote me on this, but I'd guess that Costco is going to have it the same day as VZW, and for $250. I'd fathom it'll be $180 after 2 or 3 weeks. That price will last for about a week before it goes back up to $230. At least that has been the trend.

Like a hawk. lol That and I work for Wireless Advocates (Costco).

Lol, I would say I probably have met you or talked to you if you lived in so cal haha. BTW, Wireless Advocates pricing kicks arse! I got my wifes Dinc2 there and its the best store price for upgrades or new customers. :)

Edit: awww just saw that this is a fake. Stupid android central. But I wouldn't think that this phone would be any less than $299 at VZW.

Well, the SC is South Carolina, but I'd love to get out that way at some point. :D

Yeah, $30 for the DInc2 is def a deal about as sweet as they come, though I think Wirefly had something where you can get it for free. Might be an new contract, though.

Sucks this is a fake, we're all ready for this thing to drop. But you're right, nobody is doubts the pricetag.

Not a big surprise for it to be $299. I fully expect all headliners to be $299 on Verizon at release from now on. SGS2 will be the same way assuming it has LTE. Kind of a bummer, I haven't had to pay out of my pocket for a new phone in the past 3 years, with Annual upgrade and having a phone only a year old, have broken even or better selling it. With the new 299 price point, and no more annual upgrades, no longer.

Yea honestly I think it was obvious to most of us that this phone would be 299 so it doesn't really matter if the article is fake or not.

The Thunderbolt was 249 and it is a hunkAjunk. The Samsung Charge was 299 and that wasn't much better.

The Bionic is way better than both phones so it would be absurd if it wasn't 299.

I'd be very shocked if it was less than 299. Actually I'd be willing to bet lots and lots of money on it.

You might want to check out the bionic forum on android central. Phil(runs AC) stated it was not a finished product so its not saying that it is fake. Not saying it isnt but Phil doesnt put things out that he isnt sure about and is usually spot on. Droid-life is a bunch of fanboys anymore who only believe what kellex says even without trying it. That site is starting to sound like a bunch of iphone fanboys.
