Root locked out of phone - help!

Hi

I have the HTC Desire that has been locked out with too many pattern tries and is now asking for a google account entry - which was never set up. How do I reset my phone?

How did you use it without a google account? You cant even download apps without a google account.

Please be aware that I am being cautious of giving you information incase it is not your phone.

You should take it back to the retailer where you purchased the phone for assistance. Without any way to prove your ownership of said phone, we cannot assist you in circumventing the pattern lock.

You set a pattern lock but never a Google account? That was extremely unwise as the Google account is the fall back when forgetting the pattern. If this is the case, I suggest you speak to your provider about unlocking the phone.
