I upgraded through amazon for $179 a couple of days ago. Looks like the price is back up to $189 now. I had some issues with the phone activation, but a 5 minute call to amazonwireless cleared that up (they called verizon and had everything sorted out). The insurance from the old phone was transferred automatically, nothing was messed up with my unlimited data plan and I was able to go to the Verizon store the next day and add unlimited tethering. So far everything has been great and worth $120 in savings [from $299 to $179].
